FAQ
👗 What to Wear
Keep it simple and comfortable — soft, neutral, or beach-toned colors always photograph beautifully at St. Andrews. Flowy dresses, linen shirts, and bare feet fit the vibe perfectly. Avoid heavy patterns or bright neon colors that reflect light. If you’re doing family photos, coordinate rather than match — think “different shades of the same palette.”
Pro tip: bring a backup outfit for little ones or a light throw if it’s breezy near the jetties.
🌅 What to Expect at St. Andrews State Park
Most sessions take place at the St. Andrews State Park Pier, where the light, dunes, and open beach give us plenty of variety and space to move around. The pier area makes it easy to park, walk straight out to the sand, and start shooting without a long trek — perfect for families and little ones.
When you arrive, there’s an $8 park entry fee per vehicle at the gate.
📸 Tips for a Smooth Session
Bring water, a towel, and flip-flops for walking between spots. Snacks help keep little ones happy, and sunscreen never hurts.
Sessions run best when everyone’s comfortable — kids don’t need to sit still, and partners don’t need to “love photos” for us to create meaningful images. That’s what I’ve learned most over the years. Don’t stress about perfect poses; the best photos always come from the moments in between — the laughter, the movement, and the real connection.
📍 Where Are You Based and Do You Travel?
I’m based in Panama City Beach, Florida, and all of my sessions take place at St. Andrews State Park — one of the most beautiful and easy-to-access beaches on the Gulf Coast. This keeps everything consistent, smooth, and stress-free during the busy season.
If you’re visiting from out of town, no worries — I’ll send directions, and parking details before your session so you know exactly where to go!
⏱️ When Will We Get Our Photos?
You’ll receive an online gallery with your professionally edited images within about 3 weeks after your session. I hand-edit every image to make sure the color, lighting, and overall vibe fit that Life’s A Beach style you booked me for.
Your gallery link will let you download, share, and even order prints directly — all in one place.
📸 How Many Pictures Will We Receive?
Every session includes a minimum of 10 edited photos for a 20-minute session or 20 edited photos for a 45-minute session. I always overdeliver when I can — you’ll get a full gallery of the moments that matter most, not just the posed ones. Expect a mix of candid smiles, sandy toes, and golden-hour light.
⏱️ Which Session Length Is Right for Us?
Choosing between a 20-minute or 45-minute session really comes down to how much time and variety you’d like.
The 20-minute session is perfect for couples, seniors, maternity, or smaller families who want a relaxed but efficient experience with a beautiful variety of images.
The 45-minute session works best for larger families, extended family groups, multiple combinations, or anyone who wants more time to explore different spots and settle into the moment.
Both options are unhurried and connection-focused — the longer session simply allows more flexibility.
📸 Can These Sessions Be Used for Seniors, Families, or Couples?
Yes — absolutely. Session options are not limited by category.
The same 20-minute and 45-minute sessions work beautifully for families, seniors, couples, engagements, maternity sessions, and small group celebrations. What matters most is the amount of time you want and how many people are involved, not the reason you’re booking.
☁️ What If the Weather Doesn’t Cooperate?
If weather becomes an issue — strong rain, storms, or unsafe conditions — we’ll reschedule your session at no additional cost.
Overcast skies are often beautiful for photos and rarely require changes. I keep a close eye on the forecast and will always communicate clearly leading up to your session so we can make the best decision together.
